Another day.....

Juz came back from dinner with morgan, munyi & rach @ beach road.... had bak kut teh at one of the many shops there..... din actually coordinate to meet up with them today, as me & rach were @ orchard earlier on before gng down to Siglap to try out the Cheesecake Cafe which we have been craving for so long...... and it did not disappoint..... the menu is in a innovative form of a DVD casing.... and there are so many varieties of cheesecakes for us to choose from, tried the fresh mango cheesecake (new variety) & peach with jelly cheesecake, both taste excellent and leaves one craving for more...... the deco is nicely touched up and ambience is good..... with nice cosy sofa if u managed to get it ..... =) definitely will be going back again...... strongly recommended...... back to the dinner, received their msg at 7 plus asking for coffee and arranged to meet up @ beach road after their work at 8pm..... always fun and nice to have them around..... some photos to share taken @ the cafe using my handphone......

feeling quite relax during these few days of leave, watching Dvds, sleeping, eating, playing with my PSP, laptop and reading..... shiok..... met up with munyi, morgan (ya, again, hahaha), samuel and adrian on tues at vivo to catch the "Jumper", not too bad but a bit short and lack of explaination on certain parts...... makes me wish to have tat special power to teleport , anytime & anywhere...... =) all rite, 2 more days to enjoy the sun @ phuket and enjoy the weekends folks...............

Time Flies......

Finally on leave till 5th of march, will be gng on my phuket trip on 2nd mar with my batch mates...... will take this time to re-energise myself yet again..... been working hard during the juz ended Singapore Airshow 2008, heavy traffic before and after every airspace closure.... kudos to all my fellow colleagues =) ...... next event will be in 2010, the year which we will also be hosting the Youth Olympics......

Woke up in the late afternoon today after coming home from work..... mum told me that there are a num of new eateries which just opened today @ JP, suggested that we go and try it out together with rach & valerie since valerie is gng back tonite after her one month stint at SGH..... went down around 5plus together with bro after his work, went into one of the new outlet which is a 24hr "Cha Chan Teng", not much deco, quality of the food was only so-so compared to others...... but maybe its their 1st day thus some of the stuff (e.g my favourite siew mai) was not available......

After dinner, went back to collect valerie's luggage before gng down SGH to get her stuff which she left behind...... reached airport around 8plus, sat down @ Mr Bean to have some dessert and gossiping before she checked in at 9pm..... def will be missing her joining our makan outings and late night coffee..... (p.s : valerie, we will be waiting for ur good news.....)

Singapore Airshow 2008

Went to the Singapore Airshow 2008 this morning after work, had our breakfast @ BK in T2 before making our way there...... there was already alot of people by the time we reached there...... went over to their static display area to check out on the various types of aircraft (civil & military) and some photo taking..... the hot weather discourage us from staying under the hot sun for too long and we promptly made our way inside the exhibition hall..... lots of aviation industry big players could be seen advertising and promoting their products as this is the last 2 days of the trade invite.....

Waited for the flying display to start at 12.15pm, we kept looking out for the last dep from changi as the airspace got to be closed before the flying display could commence...... when the commentator announced the beginning of the display, all the spectators were waiting in eagerness for the star of the display, the "Black Knights"..... the atmosphere were totally different from Changi Tower, get to see them in close proximity with them leaving trails of smoke and not forgetting the thundering decibel they produced........ din stay on for the Aussie's "Roulette" display though......will be watching the display again from Changi Tower when working this weekend...... got sunburnt as a result of the sunny weather and below are some photos of the Black Knights.....

Today is the last day of the CNY and also "元宵节", hereby wishing everyone 元宵节快乐, met up with rach for dinner at Sunset Way. Quite a number of nice restaurant and cafe were situated there and we decided on Cafe D'Orient, a typical Hong Kong cafe, nice deco and setting, food was not too bad..... enjoy the weekend, folks...... =)

Updates......

Juz finished my dinner and decided to update my blog which had been left "vacant" for the past one week, been quite busy lately....... finally booked tickets to Taiwan (after discussion with rach) for our April trip, was quite annoyed as it went up by $100 from juz last night, sigh..... got myself to blame for not booking yesterday...... my march leave was also approved which means my leave starts from 25th all the way till 5th march...... still discussing with my batch mates on the destination...... anyway updates for the past week......

17 Feb ....

Went to the ASA travel fair at suntec in the morning after work, pick up rach and valerie...... reached there at around 9.45 and there was already a long queue outside the hall.... all vying for the limited places for their 1-for-1 deals, as the deals was only for a maximum of 3 nights, we decided to forgo it as we plan to go for 1 week...... the fair was not really up to my expectations, left around 11plus as we are meeting mum and the rest for lunch at Himawari ( japanese restaurant) @ Mount Faber Safra...... its our 2nd time there and the food still remains one of the best i have tried, fresh & good....... din take any photos as i was too tired...... after lunch, went bugis to pray and walk around before gng home to have my much-needed rest........

16 Feb.....

Working morning & night shift, saw the Black Knight's rehearsal in the morning, the display was awesome...... will be gng to the singapore airshow this coming thurs after work......

14th Feb......

Went to Satcc for meeting, was briefed on our new shift system which may kick in by end of this year and our new salary adjustment...... during the meeting, was called outside by manager whether i am interested to be recalled for work from 1-8pm.... as i have already rejected two times this month , felt pai seh thus agreed to go back....... which means i can't go over to HC place for CNY gathering...... after work met up rach @ JP, got ourself a cake from Anderson's to have our mini V-day celebration......

Today is already the fifth day of CNY, time flies..... guess everyone had their share of fun, new year goodies and ang baos..... guess most of the people start work from today.... here are some of the updates to what i have been doing for the past few days......

Working 1pm to 8pm, arranged to have our Bravo watch Lo Hay in the cabin, HC, Kelly, Amos, Adrian, Mdm Rohaida, me, Nicholas & Chief (both recalled) were working together on tat day. Amos prepared the "yu sheng", while me and HC bought sakae sushi, the recalled personnel treat us to Mac for dinner...... =) shiok

Working morning nite, went home to sleep during my 7hrs break in between before gng back to work till next morning.......

Slept in the tower after my duty till 11am while waiting for rach, she's coming back from KL..... after tat went home and rest till evening before gng to Han Jiang Teo Chew Restaurant for our lo hay dinner with my family, auntie hong and bro's parents-in-law..... enjoyed the dinner very much cos of their traditional teochew cuisine and lo hay in teochew style..... after dinner, decided to join my bro and his friends at Marina @ Keppel Bay, my 1st time there, enjoyed the sea breeze & nice scenery, din went to their cafe as we were too full...... walked around the park across it , chit chat and took photos......

Watched Ah Long Pte Ltd with bro, sil, rach & parents @ JP, the show was not too bad overall, have a few good laughs, din join them for lunch after the show as we made our way down to orchard to check in for our stay @ Royal Plaza on Scotts...... got quite a good deal for it, with free mini bar & unlimited broandband thrown in..... went shopping all the way till night fell before our legs decided to give it a rest, dinner was @ Newton Circus......

Checked out around 12pm before proceeding to Anchor Point for our makan, saw the news the previous night about the revamped mall and it has been a long time since we last went. Walked over to Queensway also to get a few items before gng home to catch CJ7, a touching storyline which imparts good moral values...... a recommended show for all...... will find time to catch Jay's Kung Fu Dunk...... tml will be gng over Joanne's place for lo hay together with my batch mates..... hope everyone had enjoy their CNY =)
