Long day......

Juz had my bath and feeling refresh thus it is a good time to write my blog now before gng to watch EPL matches later, guess i will be cancelling my football channel since din really got much time to watch due work commitment..... a little updates of wat i have done on this beautiful saturday...... went to pay our respect to grandpa together with dad, mum, bro and rach this morning.... still had memories how grandpa doted on us when he was still around, always bringing us to eat at the market when we were young.... those were the days.....

Went breakfast after tat before gng home to take a short nap...... went to Orchard in the afternoon with rach for our shopping spree, walked from Forum to Centre Point and back again..... bought a polo tee and a tee, wanted to buy a sweater from GAP but was stopped by rach =( ... anyway had our lunch @ Borders Bistro, a nice cafe located inside Borders, ordered a Chicken Prosciutto while she had Primavera Pasta.... the serving was generous and the food tastes good.... a nice cafe to enjoy a saturday afternoon.....

in the evening, went over to Playground @ Big Splash as we wanted to have our dinner at the newly opened Old Town Cafe but the carpark was so full that it took us quite a while juz to get out of it, eventually got to park at the far end of the side and walked over.... there were quite a number of people queuing up but it doesn't took us long to got a table guess maybe we only need a table for 2..... ordered their chef's recommendation Ipoh Hor Fun, Nasi Lemak, "Fire Ice" Bo Luo Bun and their must have Old Town coffee...... it was better than wat i expected, ingredients were fresh and prepared on the spot hence it was served pipping hot..... the coffee was rich and fragrant..... overall it was good...... =) , took our time to walk back to the car and guess today we walked quite a number of distance as rach's leg were aching as a result.... =P

will be quite busy next week due to a number of schedule/appointments, will be gng down to the workshop on tuesday to fix my windscreen due to a crack for which i duno why and how it got there, wednesday night will be gathering with wendy and the rest of them, followed by a cycle of work..... sat will be meeting up YL & CL for picnic after which our usual family dinner and sunday will be on standby.....more $$ to come if kana recall...... =)

爱情故事。。。。。。

Happy Birthday to me......

Today marks my 27th birthday, 22nd march..... which coincidentally is the birthday i share with rach's mum..... have nv failed to call her to wish her happy birthday these few years, managed to talk with valerie for a while too..... today is also Toy Sei's convocation, congrats.... =), like to thanx all my friends who send me their birthday wishes...... was suppose to work today but got Clarence to cover my duty as he juz passed his validation and was supposed to be the 'extra' man..... was recalled yesterday from 1 to 8pm, already anticipated that as i got no standby this month, the extra few hundred bucks will be credit only 2 months later.... went to JP with rach after work to have dinner and she bought a slice of tiramisu from Coffee Bean for my countdown in a few hours time......

Today's programme had been layed out nicely, went to Raffles City & City Link for our shopping crave, lunch was @ New York, sat at a nice cosy corner enjoying my Rotisserie Spring Chicken while rach had her Seafood Penne...... walked over to Esplanade since it had been quite a while since we were last there..... stayed in the library for a while before walking back to Raffles City to try the newly opened J Co Donut Cafe...... (the last time we have J Co was at Batam last year together with Wendy, Shaun, Derric, Pei Shi, Leon & Xuefen), there was such a long queue of people waiting to buy the freshly out of oven donut, we decided to dine in to enjoy our latte with the much talk about donut.... ordered their Tiramisu & Heaven Berry, it was good, warm, fluffly soft & rich in cream, the only disappointment was their service, waited quite long for our order, only till we approached them did they rem it, guess it was due to the long queue that made them overlooked it.... anyway it was quite all rite overall, saw 2nd bro & sil at Raffles too, they were gng for dinner at Shokudo, another newly opened Jap restaurant similar to Marche style..... will be gng there another time as we were too full for tat.....

Went to beach road to have Bak Kut Teh for dinner, it was my 2nd time in a week, went there on tuesday with morgan and munyi again as it was the latter birthday on that day..... like the soup over there, full of flavour and rich in ingredients...... was supposed to go Singapore Flyer but decided to go next week instead..... =) Happy Birthday to me......

Pre-Birthday Celebration.......

Came back from work this morning, went JP to have breakfast with rach before gng home to have my mandatory sleep..... slept till 2pm before making our way down to The Patissier @ Muhamed Sultan to collect my birthday cake..... the cake was a 1 kg Passion Fruit Meringue ordered by rach last week....

In the evening, made our way down to Yan Court for my pre-birthday celebration dinner as i will be working on my birthday next week, the dinner was courtesy from Warren, my cousin who is also my god-brother (thanx bro)..... auntie hong & bernice were also present.... always nice to have them around...... guess the restaurant was filled with our laughter throughout..... =), the food was good and the highlight of the dinner was definitely the Passion Fruit Meringue, tasted so good that leaves one craving for more..... will be gng back for the other varieties though the price is a bit on the high side...... once again, had an enjoyable dinner with all my loved ones prior to my birthday.... =)

Rain, rain go away......

These past few days have been raining heavily & it shows no signs of stopping ...... dulling the sky, denying our friendly mr sunny a chance to say hi.... the cold weather makes one feels lethargic & sleepy...... in terms of health, the flu bug had start to find its way to my nose..... in terms of work, the heavy rain doesn't help my already stressful job as an Air Traffic Controller cos we will be working under instrumental meteorological condition (IMC)..... more separation between aircraft due weather etc..... was supposed to have paintball session yesterday with my colleagues but was cancelled due to the heavy downpour & some of them will be gng on course next week for one year which makes it almost impossible for an alternative date..... also read from the newspaper that this is the high season for influenza and it had already hit Hong Kong which was forced to shut down their schools for two weeks..... thus the recent rain had dampen most activities......

so rain, rain, please go away and come back erhmm maybe many many days later bah......

Jade Palace......

Met up with bro together with mum, 2nd bro, sil & rach @ Jade Palace in orchard forum to have our usual family lunch .... dad did not join us today as he is working.... received call from Satcc this morning for recall from 1pm to 8pm but i rejected it as i do not want to miss the lunch & moreover weekend was reserved for my family..... but thinking of missing out on the extra few hundred bucks left a pinch..... hopefully i will be recalled again during weekdays....... =p

Back to the lunch @ Jade Palace, the place was not very big with no more than 10 tables at the public area excluding the approximately 5 private rooms for diners..... ordered dim sum & a few ala-carte dishes, one of the highlights was the BBQ combo where their charsiew were roasted to perfection using black pigs which they claimed were of higher quality and better texture..... order quite alot of dishes which left the six of us feeling so full......

will be meeting up to have dinner again next week for my pre-birthday celebration.... =)

My Saturday......

Juz finished my "facial treatment" done by rach..... got sun-burnt during my phuket trip & became "charred" thus the aftermath treatment.... woke up around 1pm after coming back from work this morning, was contemplating whether to head down to suntec for the IT show & decided to give it a miss since i dun really got anything in mind & its gonna be so crowded with no parking space, thus went bugis with rach instead..... after which drove down to Cafe Pralet in the late afternoon for a nice lazy afternoon tea savouring their Tiramisu & signature Pralet cakes...... we enjoyed sitting inside a cosy cafe spending the time away reading newspapers, magazines & chatting.....

Dinner was at Holland Drive, had X.O fishhead bee hoon and its actually my first time having it with X.O, and it tastes great..... rach had it at the same place for a few times prior to this, there were at least two stalls near the vicinity selling the same stuff, but the wan we had was not very visible from the main road but there was still stream of customers coming for it.....

This was how i laze through my saturday afternoon =) , have an enjoyable weekend, guys ......

Phuket Trip

Alas, back from my phuket trip.....touched down this afternoon at around 1pm after got delayed at Phuket due to the large number of passengers and only a number of limited counters..... a fun-filled trip nonetheless....

Day One......

Met up with Morgan, Munyi & Karen @ T1 to check in around 11am, made our way inside transit to have our breakfast as me & munyi have not eaten.... walked over to our gate around 12.35pm as our scheduled ETD was @ 1pm, not much passenger on board & took quite fast for the aircraft to finalised his clearance and while pushing back, stuck half way due technical.... most dreaded thing @ our course of work, aircraft technical...... waited around 10 plus mins before ready to taxi..... dep was at runway 02C which means a faster enroute path but slightly longer taxi distance.....

Reach Phuket at 2pm local time and made our way to Kata Country House, the place which we will be staying for the next 3 nights...... the place was like a chalet style..... not much amentities but it was good enuff for us though..... initially wanted Sugar Palm Resorts but it was full thus no choice as ours was quite last min...... walked along the stretch of shop houses before stopping @ morgan's favourite restaurant (Cafe Bagel), he was there with his gf 2 weeks ago...... nice food & friendly staff...... after dinner was off to one of their night market at town..... had some of their roadside makan to fill our ever hungry stomach or rather mine, (sweet corn, bbq sausage, mango glutinous rice.....nice) before gng back.....

Day Two......

Had a morning swim with morgan before meeting up with the girls for breakfast...... and it was relaxing moments for us @ Kata Beach..... had our time of swim, nap, playing cards & reading..... went to Central Festival during evening time before making our way to Patong to meet up with one of my managers, Chee Mun.... when we met up, saw Sze Xiong & Leslie too, they were together with Chee Mun.... they brought us for makan before gng for drinks..... had a good time having fun.....

Day Three......

Went to the beach after our breakfast again, had an oil massage by the beach..... not too bad, though at times it can get quite painful..... had pizza for lunch and went back to our 'chalet' to relax.... chee mun, sze xiong & leslie picked us by our chalet at evening time for fresh seafood by the seaside, the restaurant was by the sea and u could enjoy the sea breeze..... order a few dishes each time, chatting while enjoying the food and drinks...... total bill for the 11 dishes we had was only 1740 baht which was around SGD 75 plus for seven of us, it was so worthwhile........ was quite pai seh as they treated us dinner for two consecutive nights.... after which we went back Kata to have more massage, the gals took the foot massage while morgan had oil massage, mine was a so-called combo (neck, head , back & shoulder) massage..... this time, it was quite shiok as i almost dozed off during the process....... slpt @ 12plus before waking up in 7 hrs time for our breakfast & flight home.....

It will be back to work again tml after almost 10 days to rest...... re-energized and will be looking forward to my Taiwan trip in April =)
